Philosophy as a Shared Practice
Sententiae Community provides a space for innovative research, professional discussions, and the development of a new generation of Ukrainian academic philosophers and public intellectuals.
Sententiae Community was formed around the history-of-philosophy journal of the same name. Today it is an association of researchers, lecturers, translators, editors, and public intellectuals.
We are building the intellectual infrastructure needed for the professional development of new generations. We combine education and intellectual formation with hands-on research, publishing and translation projects, and public philosophical discourse.
Our work is grounded in academic integrity, high research standards, learning through practice, and responsibility for the quality of public discourse.
Publishing and Public Dialogue
We translate classical philosophical texts and produce original scholarly works, develop open-access archival resources, hold seminars and discussions, produce podcasts, and present research findings to a broad audience.
Research
We create research environments and long-term projects in the areas of history of philosophy and practical philosophy, where young researchers gain hands-on experience in academic work.
